Much. More. Mine.

At the heart of Amstetten, the City Center Amstetten boasts more than 60 shops on approx. 25,100 m² - an Eldorado for shoppers.

Retail area: approx. 25,100 m²

  • Business areas: approx. 60

  • Multi-storey car parks: 2 with a total of 840 parking spaces

Originally, Waidhofnerstraße was home to the hat maker "Vinzenz Hohel Ita Haar-, Hut und Stumpenfabrik". Up to 800 people were employed at the factory. A similar number now has modern jobs at the CCA. The hat-making business was shut down in the mid-1980s. Subsequently, smaller shops and grocery chains settled here. In 1991, ten businesses teamed up under the joint brand name "Shopping Center Amstetten" (SCA). After having taken over the SCA, IG Immobilien felt that almost 8,000 m² was not enough for a modern shopping centre. So in 2000, construction on a new building covering more than 8,000 m² of retail space began. An interesting mix of brands was the prerequisite for the success of the centre.

Not just the people of Amstetten were happy when the new City Center at the heart of their town opened in October 2001. The adjoining monastic school also benefited: even though the school had a suitable piece of land, it had no money to build the necessary sports hall. IG Immobilien had an idea to solve the problem: it bought the land to form part of today's shopping centre and simply built a sports hall complete with changing rooms and showers on the second and third floor. During the second construction phase, IG Immobilien modernised the somewhat aged SCA while keeping all shops open for business. In 2012, the area of the CCA was extended by another 2,300 m². Today, it boasts more than 60 shops and a whole range of gastronomic experiences. Perfect for a relaxed shopping spree.

In 2016 and 2017 CCA was totally refurbished.

BREEAM for CCA
In 2014 the shoppingcenter was certified to BREEAM (certificate for sustainability). It was successfully recertified in 2017.
