For many years now, IG Immobilien has been dedicated to running a sustainable business.
We continually undergo stringent certification processes and undertake conversions and refurbishments to make IG properties “greener”.
We are proud to be able to take a positive influence on the quality and competence of the real estate sector.
Our voluntary certifications underline the quality, reliability, consistency, integrity and sustainability of IG Immobilien.
We strive for top quality
In 1997, IG Immobilien – as a pioneer in quality assurance – was one of the first real estate companies in Austria to implement a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001. This means that for the past 20 years, IG Immobilien has continually ensured that all projects and services were conducted with all due reliability, quality and professionalism as stipulated in the work and procedure instructions of the quality management system. External checks are regularly undertaken by objective experts.
“The ISO 9001 certificate confirms our competency as a real estate service provider. It is recognised proof that quality is of the utmost importance to us,” explains Ing. Hermann Klein when asked about the benefits of the quality management system. The International Standard ISO 9001 is one of the most successful management standards. It includes requirements on quality management systems and is implemented in millions of organisations around the world. One of the aims of this standard is to ensure that work and procedure instructions are reliably implemented in all projects and services.
ISO 9001 gives organisations of all shapes and sizes the chance to prove their ability to deliver high-quality products and services. Quality management systems are there to increase customer satisfaction and improve internal processes.
Ethical Corporate Certification in Accordance with ÖGNI
Ethically certified by ÖGNI already in 2013, IG Immobilien was awarded the certificate for ethical action by the Austrian Sustainable Building Council (ÖGNI). The award is further evidence of the transparency and sustainability practiced at IG Immobilien. Thus, IG takes on a leading role in anti-corruption and ethics in the real estate industry. In summer 2016 IG was reawarded the certificate.
Building Certifications (TQ, DGNB, LEED, BREEAM)
For years now, IG Immobilien has placed great importance on sustainability in the construction and operation of our buildings and we have received international certificates for our efforts. Delivering sustainable products and services is a matter of course for the IG Group. This is proven in real estate developments by building certificates. All new projects are certified in accordance with DGNB, LEED and/or BREEAM, and as part of this process it is important already during the conception phase to anticipate the future use of the buildings, all the way to their recyclability, and to plan accordingly.
LEED: The office property Vaci 33 in Budapest has retroactively been given a silver LEED rating (2013).
BREEAM: The housing project “The Cortenbergh” in Brussels was awarded a BREEAM In-Use certificate in 2013, and the two shopping centres Rosenarcade in Tulln and CCA in Amstetten were given a BREEAM Standard certification in 2014. A recertification was suggested in 2017.
The IG Group is regularly audited by external auditors such as auditing firms, the Federal Audit Office and the internal auditing department. Internal auditing helps IG to achieve their goals, as well as create added value and improve business processes.
