Union Biztosító has been a tenant in the IG Immobilien office building Váci 33 in Budapest for the past 10 years. Now, the Vienna Insurance Group subsidiary is tripling its office space at this central location and is also relocating its headquarters there. IG Immobilien is currently converting and fitting out the additional space – from August 2018, the employees of the successful insurance company will be able to move into their new 3,300 m² cutting-edge offices.

“We were very pleased to learn that our tenant Union Biztosító is so successful that he needs to expand in our office block Váci 33. And we are proud to be able to do our part as a reliable partner. For us, a high occupancy rate of our office spaces – also in Budapest – is the best praise we can get for the quality work we do,” says Hermann Klein, manager at IG Immobilien. Union Biztosító is one of the fastest growing insurance companies in the Hungarian market. The central location in one of the most attractive business areas in Budapest and the outstanding infrastructure – both the west station Nyugati and the underground are in the immediate vicinity – but also the underground car park with its 380 spaces make the IG Immobilien office building in the Hungarian capital so ideal for the international company.

Leading in architecture and sustainability

The nine-story high-rise building on Váci út 33 has been part of the IG Immobilien portfolio since 2007 and stands out architecturally due to its imposing glass façade and modern, impressive lobby area. There are over 16,700 m² of office space and 650 m² of commercial space in the building, which has been awarded an LEED Silver certificate for its environmental sustainability; it was also named “Green Office Building of the Year”. Other renowned companies are also headquartered here or have business premises in the building – these include Travelport, Bioextra, Process Solutions, LG Electronics and Friesland.
