High-quality company-owned properties - the basis for success


The balanced portfolio of 32 company-owned properties with a book value of 620 million euro and a total floor space of 270,000 sqm is the backbone of the IG Group. These assets include high-quality apartments and offices, downtown shopping centres as well as attractive commercial space. About two thirds of all lettable space are located in Austria - mostly in Vienna - with the rest being located at international spots like Brussels, Amsterdam and Budapest.

Return clearly above market average

The true indicator for successful real estate management is the return achieved on individual objects, as they reflect the performance of revenues generated from rent and the appreciation of the physical building. The returns achieved on IG properties is clearly better than market average. According to the real estate index issued by the International Property Databank (IPD) for Austria, total return on IG properties in Austria amounted to 10,7%, which is greater than average (6,6%).

High-quality company-owned properties are the foundation for IG Group's success.

Without the revenues generated from renting out units in these company-owned properties, IG would not be able to meet the requirements of proprietor Austrian National Bank (OeNB). We ensure the balance of our portfolio by finding the right medium between developing our own, and by acquiring and selling objects. In light of the fact that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find finished objects with attractive returns on the open market, the development of our own projects has become evermore important to enhance and enlarge our portfolio.
